Visiting the Goldsmith

Where does the gold on our ring finger come from? On this special tour you will receive an introduction to the new exhibition 'Goldrichtig' and visit Burgdorf goldsmith Simone Aebersold in her atelier — and get hands-on yourself.

In the exhibition you will learn where the gold comes from, how it is mined and what problems this causes for people and the environment. We present exciting new possibilities for making gold extraction more sustainable and socially responsible.

Afterwards you will visit Simone Aebersold's goldsmith atelier in Burgdorf's old town. You will gain an insight into everything a goldsmith has to do until the ring fits perfectly on the finger, may test your skills at the workbench and take a keepsake home.

This event is suitable for adults and children aged 8 and up with their companions.

Places are limited to 12 people. Advance registration is mandatory.
