Chlouse-Saturday

In December the Samichlous and the Schmutzli come to the Gurten. They bring nuts and tangerines, which are handed out as a thank-you for a recited little verse. Whether a well-known rhyme, a short saying or a self-composed verse – courage counts more than perfection! Anyone who wants can practice a verse beforehand.

A photo booth ensures that the moment with the Samichlous and Schmutzli remains unforgettable. Chlouse Saturday is a lovely opportunity to enjoy the pre-Christmas season together.

The Samichlous on the Gurten is inspired by Nicholas of Myra, a 4th-century bishop known for his kindness and helpfulness. His bishop's robes and his message of compassion and humility make him special.
