Garden Afternoons at the Gurtengärtli

On Wednesdays and Sundays the Gurtengärtli opens its gates for free garden afternoons. Children immerse themselves in the exciting world of nature and learn about the life cycles of plants and animals in a playful way. There is plenty to discover — from surprising facts about habitats to small adventures in the garden.

The event is free, requires no registration, and only takes place in good weather. An afternoon full of nature experiences that sparks curiosity and delights the little explorers.

The Gurtengärtli is a joint project of Bioterra, Gurten – Park im Grünen, and Migros‑Kulturprozent. Since 2016 the garden has developed into a place of biodiversity. Located in the heart of the park, it charms visitors with its colourful plant life and its lovingly designed layout. On an area of 650 m² there is always something to discover. The natural garden invites visitors to experience the variety of the seasons, to find calm and inspiration, and to discover and learn through play.
